Castell D’Aixa White Wine

The name comes from a story. Aixa — on the label, the woman carrying vegetables and herbs — and the font d’Aixa, a spring built at the foot of the castle on the Cima de la Solana de Beniquasi, in the Marina Alta. The spring was the castle’s source of life. The moscatel, the winery says, was theirs for many years.

Light yellow with green and grey traces, clean and bright. Strong aromas of white flowers, with a touch of peach. A dry moscatel — balanced, with a generous and long run across the palate.

If you only know moscatel as a sweet wine, this is the other half of the variety.

Serving: With Marina Alta cooking — rice, fish, seafood. Also as an aperitif.
